Swamp Optics offers advanced, compact, and cost-effective devices
for ultrafast laser pulse characterization. The company’s products incorporate frequency-resolved
optical gating (FROG) technology, a well-established method for accurately determining critical pulse information, including the time-dependent (or, equivalently, frequency-dependent) intensity and phase of an
ultrashort laser pulse. FROG is the subject of five patents. It is rigorous, general, and accurate,
and it is a widely used technique with many applications.
Products
Swamp Optics' flagship product is GRENOUILLE, a highly compact FROG
device for characterizing an ultrashort laser pulse's intensity and
phase, and, in addition, the beam spatial profile and the spatio-temporal
distortions, spatial chirp and pulse-front tilt. GRENOUILLE combines
full information pulse measurement with experimental simplicity:
it
operates alignment-free, uses only a few simple optical elements,
and requires no more than about ten minutes to set up. It features
an operating range that includes that of most ultrafast Ti:Sapphire
and solid-state lasers and amplifiers. Several GRENOUILLE devices
are available, for pulses from a few femtoseconds to several picoseconds. |
